Helpful Links

Each day is designed to provide a mix of both adult and children’s programming, along with plenty of opportunities to spend quality time together. Enjoy either our Crimson Lake waterfront property or our mountain views and all our fantastic Family Camp activities! The camp program is all inclusive, meaning that all activities, food, and equipment are entirely provided. We serve delicious meals, provide comfortable family style accommodation, and take care of all of the programming so you can concentrate on time together.

There are TWO opportunities to attend Family Camp at Pioneer!

  • Pioneer Lodge: Spend 3 nights with gorgeous mountain views in Sundre, Alberta. Join us in 2025! Dates June 27-30
     
  • Pioneer Ranch: Spend 3 nights on the shores of Crimson Lake, Rocky Mountain House. Join us in 2025! Dates June 27-30
 

Family Camp sessions will include a Bible study program for all ages, structured and unstructured family times, opportunities to participate in all our regular camp programs – horseback riding, climbing wall, all our waterfront facilities, archery, family friendly wide games and campfires.

 

Choosing Your Location

Families of all ages are welcome at both sites, but our recommendation is that families with most of their kiddos under the age of 10 go to our Pioneer Lodge (Sundre) location, and those with most of their kiddos over the age of 10 go to our Pioneer Ranch(Rocky Mountain House) location.

The Lodge has easier access to washroom facilities, a pool, and program facilities are closer together. The Ranch is more spread out, washroom facilities are centrally located, and is located on Crimson Lake.

In our kids’ summer camps, campers ages 5-11 go to the Lodge and 12+ go to the Ranch, as the sites are geared towards these age groups.

 

Lodge Accommodations and Capacities*

Each family will have private rooms:

  • Stay in our main building in our camper dorms (close to everything, shared washroom),
  • Stay in one of our insulated cabins with power (cozy and private, 2-minute walk to main building),
  • We also have a limited number of powered camping stalls for trailers (bring your own trailer) – sorry no water or sewer hook-ups.

 

Note: Total capacity is 12 Families per Family Camp.

Accommodations available for 10 families (plus 2 trailer spots). *Accommodation style may be Dorm Rooms or Cabins depending on size of families. Housing assigned at the discretion of Summer Program Coordinator. (Capacity may change without warning.)

 

Ranch Accommodations and Capacities:*

  • Each family will stay in one of our insulated cabins with power (with access to shared washhouses), or in one of our camper dorm rooms in our main building (the Ranch House).
  • We also have a limited number of powered camping stalls for trailers (bring your own trailer) – sorry no water or sewer hook-ups.

 

Note: Total capacity for Ranch Family Camp is 16 Families.

Accommodations available for 12 families (plus 4 trailer spots). *Accommodation style may be Cabins or Dorm Rooms depending on size of families. Housing assigned at the discretion of the Summer Program Coordinator. (Capacity may change without warning.)

Lodge Family Camp Pricing (3 nights/4 days):

A Friday to Monday stay at Pioneer Lodge is:

  • Adults (13+): $265/person
  • Child (4-12): $165/person
  • Toddler (0-3): Free
 

Ranch Family Camp Pricing (3 nights/4 days):

A Friday to Monday stay at the Ranch is:

  • Adults (13+): $265/person
  • Child (4-12): $165/person

Upon Arrival

  • Drive all the way into the camp to register at the Ranch House or the Lodge & unload.
  • Unloading/Loading Zone Time Limit: 15 minutes.
  • Once unloaded, all cars are to be moved to the parking lot.

No Pet Policy

No Pet Policy: Family Camp has a No Pet Policy.

 

For the safety of others and the happiness of your four-footed, two-footed or no-footed friends, please do not bring any of your pets to camp, but instead make alternate arrangements for them while attending Family Camp.
