They’ll be challenged to grow in their hands-on skills, their friendships and in their relationship with God.
After that, it’s five days of pure adventure! The youngest boys (age 12) will be introduced to the fun of wilderness camping through a specially designed General Out-Trip. The older boys (ages 13-18) will pick between a backpacking, river canoeing or a horseback-riding out-trip, or a daily adventures in-camp out-trip.
On each trip, the boys will spend quality time with their counsellors and fellow campers, hearing stories of faith and being challenged to try things they’ve never done before! At the end of the trip, they’ll head back to camp and share their stories, finishing camp with a rodeo, games, and the ultimate Sr. Boys feast!
Senior Girls | Ages 12 - 18 | Girls

For the first portion of camp campers will focus on learning the skills needed for experiencing a successful out-trip, and enjoy camp activities such as crafts, canoeing, horseback-riding, archery, wide games, wall-climbing, and daily Bible study. They’ll be challenged to grow in their hands-on skills, their friendships and in their relationship with God.

The 13-year-old girls will go on a Combo Out-Trip which is designed to give them experience in the three main out-trip areas with time spent hiking, canoeing, and horseback riding. The older girls (ages 14-18) will also go on a five day out-trip, but get to choose their own adventures, picking between backpacking, hiking base camp, river canoeing and horseback-riding out-trips, or a daily adventures in-camp out-trip.
Each out-trip gives the girls quality time with their staff and fellow campers to hear stories of faith, learn new skills and be challenged. At the end of the trip, they’ll return from camp to share their stories, try new activities, and celebrate their growth & adventures!
Senior Skills | Ages 12 - 18 | Co-ed
Senior Skills is all about campers having the chance to grow and flourish in one of three skills areas or focus on a classic camp experience with a little bit of everything. Half of each day will be spend in the tracks, with the other half devoted to choice, being with friends, and trying new things.
In addition to the track-specific activities, Senior Skills incorporates all our best-loved camp games and activities too! Wide-games, swimming, archery and canoeing are just a few of the options, while campers discover more about God through daily Bible studies and stories shared by staff. This is a week they won’t want to miss!
Track Options:
Classic Camp: This track is designed to give campers an introduction to all things camp! From the climbing wall to the archery range, waterfront, orienteering, horseback riding, various sports, and more, campers will rotate through all the activities that camp has to offer. They’ll discover new experiences, learn about themselves and encounter God in new and unique ways
Paddle: This track takes campers out into Crimson Lake where they’ll learn to paddle a 2-person tandem canoe before trying their hand paddling the mighty North Saskatchewan River! It’s a week full of adventure as campers bond through their shared challenges and triumphs.
Ride: This track is all about horses! Participants will get hands-on experience in basic horse grooming, care and maintenance, all while developing their riding skills each day. They’ll discover what horses can teach them about God, themselves, and the world around them.
Zoom: This track endeavours to capture the beauty and reality of life around us! Designed with the Visual Arts enthusiast in mind, Zoom provides campers with ample time and space to stop, take note of the details around them and capture them through photography, painting, sculpting, or sketching. Each day they will focus on a particular skill, technique or project, and each evening they’ll share their work and tell the story of what inspired them.
Out-Trip Skills Camp
Ages 15 - 18 | Co-ed
Out-Trip (OT) Skills Camp is all about campers having the chance to further develop their backcountry camping skills in one of three separate skills tracks: backpacking, canoeing, and horseback riding. We recommend attending Sr. Girls, Sr. Boys, or Sr. Skills first, as OT Skills Camp is designed to take the skills learned at camp further.
Campers will spend the entire session camping out on our adjacent land called Miller’s. For Sunday afternoon and Monday morning the entire group will be together, focusing on packing gear and basic out-tripping skills. After lunch, the individual skill tracks will head out to various locations to continue the adventure. All campers will return to the Miller’s camp site Thursday after lunch to celebrate their adventures with a final outdoor banquet meal on Thursday before departure!
PLEASE NOTE: This camp is not designed for beginner skill levels, so we reserve the right to refuse registrations of campers who have not yet begun developing their out-tripping skills.
